How Much Does Windshield Chip Repair Cost?
We don’t post a flat number because the honest price depends on the chip, not a script. Here’s exactly what changes it, and how our photo-quote process works.
Why we quote from a photo instead of a phone guess
,Two chips can look similar over the phone and be very different jobs in person. Size, depth, how many there are, and where they sit on the glass all change how long a repair takes and whether it’s a good candidate at all. We look at a real photo before we give you a number, so the price you hear before booking is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons on the day, and no call-out fee anywhere in our service area.
,What actually moves the price
,- Number of chips. One clean chip is a shorter job than three scattered across the windshield.
- Size and depth. A small bullseye or star break is quicker to fill than a larger, deeper impact.
- Location on the glass. Chips near the edge of the windshield sit closer to the structural frame and take more care.
- Age and contamination. An old chip that’s collected dirt or moisture needs more prep before resin will bond properly than a fresh one.
What’s included once you book
,A mobile visit to your home, workplace, or job site anywhere in our service area, the repair itself (clean, inject, UV-cure, polish), and an honest look at the result before we leave. Most appointments run 20 to 40 minutes start to finish.
,When repair isn’t the cheaper option
,If a crack has spread past what resin can stabilize, or the damage sits directly in the driver’s critical sightline in a way repair won’t resolve, we’ll tell you plainly instead of repairing something that won’t hold. A repair that fails costs you twice; an honest “this one needs replacement” up front doesn’t.
