Terms of Service

The plain-English terms that apply when you book and receive a windshield chip repair from Mr. Chip. Effective date: August 3, 2026.

The service

Mr. Chip provides mobile windshield rock chip repair using resin injection, performed at your location within our stated service area. We do not provide windshield replacement, other auto glass services, or ADAS calibration. Assessments given from photos are preliminary; the final repairability decision is made in person before work begins.

Quotes and payment

Quotes are provided before booking and confirmed on site before work starts. If damage turns out not to be repairable on inspection, you are not charged for a repair that was not performed. Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in advance.

What a repair does

  • Restores structural integrity at the impact point
  • Is intended to stop the damage spreading under normal driving conditions
  • Usually improves the appearance of the chip noticeably
  • Does not make the damage invisible — a faint mark normally remains
  • Cannot guarantee that severely stressed glass will never crack in future
  • Does not apply to damage we identify as non-repairable

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner’s authority to approve the repair, that the vehicle will be accessible at the agreed time and location, and that it can be parked legally and safely where we can work on it. Please tell us in advance about previous repair attempts or DIY kits, as these change what is possible.

Weather and rescheduling

Resin repair requires dry glass. If weather makes a proper repair impossible and no covered space is available, we will reschedule rather than perform a compromised repair. Either side may reschedule with reasonable notice without charge.

Liability

Windshield chip repair is performed on glass that is already damaged. In a small number of cases a chip or crack can extend during the repair process itself; this is an inherent risk of working on damaged glass and does not entitle you to a completed-repair outcome, though you will not be charged for a failed repair. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for negligence causing personal injury.

Records and communication

By submitting a quote request you agree that we may contact you by phone, text or email about that request. Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled in the courts serving Santa Clara County, California.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The terms in force when you book apply to that booking.
