THE PROCESS
What to Expect During Your Mobile Windshield Chip Repair Appointment
No shop, no waiting room. Here’s exactly what happens from the photo you send to driving away.
1. You send a photo
,Before anything is booked, text a photo of the chip to (408) 478-4498 or upload it through the quote form. That photo is what decides whether it’s repairable and roughly what it will cost — not a guess over the phone.
,2. We book a time that works for you
,Home, workplace, or job site — anywhere in our service area. The vehicle needs to be accessible; you don’t need to take time off or sit and watch.
,3. On the day: inspection
,We check the chip in person against the photo assessment. Occasionally a chip looks different up close than it did in a photo — if that changes the plan, we’ll tell you before doing anything.
,4. Clean and prep
,The damaged area is cleaned out and dried. Any loose glass or contamination gets removed so the resin has a clean surface to bond to.
,5. Resin injection and UV cure
,Resin is injected into the chip under controlled pressure to fill it fully, then cured with UV light on site. This is the step that actually stops the damage from spreading and restores strength to the glass.
,6. Polish and final check
,The surface is polished level and we take one more look together before we call it done.
,7. You drive away
,The resin is fully cured on site, so there’s no waiting period — the car is ready to drive normally as soon as we’re finished. Most full appointments run 20 to 40 minutes.
