What we need
What makes a good mobile appointment
Chip repair is weather and surface sensitive. A few simple conditions make the difference between a clean repair and a compromised one.
Somewhere to park
A driveway, a parking space or a kerbside spot where we can work safely around the front of the vehicle.
Dry glass
The windshield needs to be dry. Resin will not bond properly into a wet or freshly washed break.
Reasonable shade
Direct hot sun can cure resin too early. Shade, a garage or a covered space helps; we also carry our own shade.
A contact number
We text on the way and when we arrive, so you can carry on with your day until we are done.
On the day
How the appointment runs
- We confirm the address, the vehicle and a time window in advance
- We text before setting off so you know when to expect us
- We inspect the damage in person before starting and confirm the plan
- If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you and stop
- The repair runs about 20 to 40 minutes in most cases
- We show you the finished result before we leave
